The Crankie Darter made its debut in 1988 as Tiemco's first original fishing lure. At the time, it was developed as a crankbait designed to flash on the bottom and trigger bites. However, in recent years, local anglers from the Boso Peninsula discovered its effectiveness when used in surface-to-mid layers. Since then, it has delivered phenomenal results not only in the Bōsō Peninsula but nationwide. Now, the legendary Crankie Darter is back!
Its basic usage is simple: slow and steady retrieval. The aluminum lip, which shines brilliantly, combined with the body shape, creates a high-pitched, seductive motion reminiscent of a shad, intensifying the bass's instincts. Amazingly, this extraordinary crankbait attracts bass in ultra-clear waters as well as murky systems like Lake Kasumigaura
The Crankie Darter comes in two models: the 90 and the 100. Though they share the same body design, the lip differences define their action. The 90 features a mixed roll-and-wobble motion, perfect for tackling surface layers and subsurface areas. The 100 dives more aggressively with stronger wobble for mid-range depths just below the surface. Both models have a diving depth of approximately 3 meters and should be differentiated based on action and diving angle.
