This Shore Competition (SC) SB (Swim Bait/Big Bait) rod was designed to maximize the practical performance of big baits and swim baits to ensure victory in today’s increasingly tough fishing fields. Based on the STEEZ SC Stratofortress 68, this item aims for improved usability. It exquisitely balances conflicting elements: long-distance casting performance for big baits, high-precision pitching for short distances, maneuverability to produce seductive, water-grabbing actions that trigger bites, and sensitivity to transmit the lure's status to the angler.
Furthermore, it possesses the butt power to pierce heavy-gauge hooks without deflecting sudden strikes, while maintaining an appropriate suppleness for confident fighting. By setting stainless steel frame guides on the Stratofortress 68 base, durability is increased, and the added guide weight helps the rod load during the cast; this makes it easier to launch lures even with a slow swing, facilitating both long-distance casts and reaching the deepest parts of overhanging cover. While the tip is stiffened to enhance short-range pitching performance, the application of a "he-shaped taper" (stepped taper) to the end of the hard, high-elasticity solid tip significantly improves tactile sensitivity, linear maneuverability, and the hooking success rate of big baits. The tubular section uses medium-elasticity carbon to provide flexibility within its hardness, while the butt is assisted by 3DX to draw out maximum casting distance.
